Congratulating the VPC on its new status, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh emphasised that the upgrade demonstrates the Party and State's recognition of the centre's significant contributions over the past few years. It also reflects the unit's important responsibility in contributing to concretising Vietnam's extensive international integration policy, especially in the field of defence, thus opening up a new cooperation channel with the UN and many other key partners.
