Vietnam nears target of one million green trees
VTV.vn - The 'One million green trees for Vietnam' Fund has been planting trees across the country for nine years and it has almost reached its target.

200,000 trees will be planted in Phú Yên in June. 851,000 trees had been planted by the end of 2019. Over the past nine years, trees were planted in residential areas, historical sites, schools, and along streets in 18 provinces and cities in Vietnam.

In Cao Bằng province, for example, a previous batch of 200,000 trees planted in 2017 have grown tall and healthy under the care and supervision of local people and forest protection department. This program is managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk).
