VTV.vn - Vietnam’s rice exports are on an upward trend, and the country is more than capable of fulfilling all contracts signed in 2017.

This was a statement made by a representative from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Preliminary Conference on the Winter-Spring crop production in 2017, held in Soc Trang Province on Sunday.

According to the Ministry, up until October, Vietnam has exported nearly 4.4 million tons of rice. Current rice inventory of enterprises totalled 978 thousand tons.

By the end of autumn, 1 million more tons will be added. This amount of rice is believed to meet this year’s export demand of 5.6 million tons.
