The Vietnamese leader said that Vietnam and Laos would continue to cherish their special relationship and co-operation in all areas, contributing to peace, stability, co-operation, and development. He briefed the Laotian officials on the situation in Vietnam and preparations for the upcoming 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The Laotian Deputy PM informed the party leader that Lao was ready to join the ASEAN Community by the end of 2015 and was preparing for its upcoming term as ASEAN Chair in 2016. He further reiterated that Laos would do what it could to bolster its traditional friendship with Vietnam.
