VTV.vn - The annual Vietnam – Japan Festival, which is usually scheduled for February or March, has been postponed until the end of this year due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 outbreak.

The decision was made during a working session between Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien and Tsumoto Takebe, Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, in Hanoi.

Tsumoto Takebe said that the Japanese side expects to expand the scale of the festival.

A dialogue on Japanese – Vietnamese peace will be held by the Japan Business Association within the framework of the event.

During the festival, visitors will have the chance to join traditional Japanese street dances as well as enjoy colourful lanterns from the “country of sunrise”.

The event is expected to feature around 160 pavilions, including 80 by Japanese enterprises and agencies and 80 from Vietnam.
