Vietnam, Hungary step up co-operation

VTV.vn - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh welcomed Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto on Tuesday in Hanoi.

At the meeting, the host stressed that the official visit by the Hungarian foreign minister played an important part in strengthening the friendship between the two nations. Both sides agreed to continue the implementation of Hungarian-funded projects and expand co-operation in security, trade and education.

The two foreign ministers also pledged to help act as bridges to ASEAN and the EU. Minister Szijjarto said Hungary would support the official signing of the EU-Vietnam FTA. On the same day, he was also received by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh.
