Vietnam hopes both sides maintain dialogue on Korean Peninsula
VTV.vn - As the host of the 2nd DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit, Vietnam had made careful preparations including security and safety.

Answering reporters' questions on the 2nd DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit, Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lê Thị Thu Hằng said that over the past two days, Vietnam and the international community have been closely watching the 2nd DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit. Vietnam's consistent stance has been to support peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.

US President Donald Trump and Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Chairman Kim Jong-un confirmed that the summit in Hanoi was an important step for the two sides. At the summit, the highest-ranking leaders of the two countries showed their efforts to exchange opinions on important matters related to peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.

As the host of the 2nd DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit, Vietnam had made careful preparations including security and safety. Vietnam demonstrated a consistent implementation of an external policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, and cooperation for development.
