Vietnam formulates legal framework for special administrative economic zones

This model has successfully been applied in many countries. But in Vietnam, a draft law for these special units had not been formed until late 2016. So what requirements does this law have to ensure the effectiveness of special administrative economic zones?

Currently, favorable policies for special administrative economic zones remain controversial. But the government is working to improve the draft law in order to create a legal framework for these units as soon as possible, because they are seen as laboratories for institutional reform where Vietnam can experiment with its innovative policies.
