50 movies have been entered to compete in the festival. This year’s Lotus Awards for films and individuals will still be decided by a panel of judges. However, some new awards introduced this year will be determined by public votes. The festival aims to honour movies that portray cultural beauty, humanity, and creativity. More importantly, it is a chance to honour notable film artists of both past and present.
Themed “Vietnam’s Cinema – Ethnicity, humanity, creation and integration”, a inhabitant informative eventuality aims to denote cinematographic works flushed with abounding inhabitant identity, amiability and creativity as good as to honour artists with conspicuous achievements in a field.
The festival, organized by a MCST and a HCM City People’s Committee, will embody a series of endowment categories, such as awards for movies, awards for individuals, and people’s choice awards.
