VTV.vn - For the eighth consecutive year, Vietnam has seen a drop in the number of new HIV infections, the number of cases that develop into AIDS, and the number of deaths caused by AIDS.

However, HIV treatment in Vietnam faces many challenges as international funding forARV drugs have been strongly reduced.

According to estimates, it costs 17.7 million USD a year to provide 100,000 people with HIV with free ARV treatment. By maintaining the programme, Vietnam can implement its commitment to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
