Vietnam extends COVID-19 screening
VTV.vn - Vietnam has extended COVID-19 screening to more people, according to a report presented at the Sunday meeting of the national steering committee on epidemic prevention.

This is the third time Vietnam adjusted the scope of its COVID-19 testing. Anyone returning from virus-hit areas will have to be tested. Vietnam will also continue testing to look for herd immunity.

The Ministry of Health has also released instructions on how to combine samples in order to speed up the testing process.

This method is considered effective where mass testing is needed such as in Hanoi. Currently, there are 120 testing facilities in the country that are capable of doing PCR tests. This number could be increased to 2,000.
