VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc announced that Vietnam will extend its visa-exemption policy for citizens of England, France, Germany, Spain and Italy to 2020 instead of July 2018 as previously stated.

The Prime Minister stated that the reason for this decision is because many countries in the region have the same visa-exemption policies. Currently, Vietnam has a visa-exemption policy for 24 countries which includes the other 9 members of ASEAN. The Prime Minister also asked the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to solve the remaining issues regarding the online VISA registration system and immigration law amendments.
