The Temple of Literature also hosted the exhibition entitled “Doctoral Steles-Vietnam Cultural Heritages” while a ceremony to recognize Tu Thi communal house in Hang Gai ward, Hoan Kiem district as a national relic was held right at the house by the local authority and the Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board.

The house is dedicated to the ancestor of the embroidery trade Le Cong Hanh, who made great contributions to creating and developing trade in Vietnam.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairwoman of Hang Gai Ward People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Ha stressed that the architectural values under the Le dynasty in the communal house have been kept intact. Moreover, the traditional beauty of the Vietnamese embroidery is vividly featured in this house.

The restoration of Tu Thi communal house completed on the occasion of this year’s Capital’s Liberation Day (October 10th).
