Vietnam civil aviation booming

The Vietnamese civil aviation industry flew 52 million passengers last year, indicating a 29% increase year on year. The International Civil Aviation Organization revealed that Vietnam was the 7th fastest growing civil aviation market from 2014-2017. This success is attributable to tourism development, sustainable economic growth and the emergence low-cost airlines.

2017 brings many promises of growth and development for Vietnamese airline companies. However, this also comes with many challenges in terms of infrastructure and human resources.
