The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam is an active and responsible member of ASEAN and the first partner to sign a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union. Vietnam is ready to act as a bridge for Russia as well as countries in the Eurasian Economic Union to expand relations, trade, and investment with ASEAN.
All of the parties involved would like stronger and more effective economies, trade and investment relations between Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union and ASEAN. Currently, trade turnover between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union is US$6.1 billion.
In the future, all parties will need to promote the effectiveness of further cooperation to further promote trade among the countries and to form a Free Trade Agreement between ASEAN and Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union.
