Over the last 5 years, more than 66 million students and students have participated in Vietnam Book Day, with thousands of bookcases being established by Youth Unions and parents’ funds.
100% of libraries across the country have also organized activities to attract readers. The number of books published locally has increased by 20% each year.
There are 150 countries worldwide that celebrate book and copyright day, including Vietnam.
This year’s celebrations for Vietnam Book Day kicked off in Hanoi on April 18 with an exhibition themed Books: Connecting Knowledge and Development.
