The event was co-chaired by Minister of Industry and Trade Trần Tuấn Anh and Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Natig Aliyev. At the meeting, the two sides agreed the meeting was significant step in improving co-operation between the two countries this year. One of key task of this first meeting is to seek out the solutions for exporting Vietnamese products to Azerbaijan and importing Azerbaijan's products into Vietnam. Besides the co-operation in oil, the two sides agreed several new directions in investment, agriculture, science and technology, culture and education.
