Vietnam attends world economic forum

VTV.vn - Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Đinh Hue led the Vietnamese delegation to attend the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday, the WEF's largest and most important annual meeting.

Speaking at the ASEAN Regional Strategy Group Meeting, in addition to hailing the opportunities presented to the ASEAN in its development and integration process, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Đinh Hue also pointed out several related challenges including the application of the 4th Industrial Revolution, co-operation and competition between major economies, protectionism, and climate change. The Deputy PM suggested the ASEAN Regional Strategy Group Work with ASEAN governments to work out solutions to promote ASEAN's prosperity in a challenging global and regional context.

On the sidelines of the WEF 2018, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Đinh Hue also met with Swiss Federal Council Member Johann Ammann. The two sides agreed to increase co-ordination in multilateral forums as well as promote FTA negotiations between the European Free Trade Association and Vietnam.
