Speaking at the meeting, Nhan Dan Deputy Editor-in-Chief Dinh Nhu Hoan said that Vietnam has achieved many positive results in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic and is entering the new normal state to reopen schools and welcome international tourists, while also restoring business and production activities.
Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the DPRK to Vietnam Ri Ho Jun expressed his delight that life in Vietnam has been gradually returning to normal while expressing his hope that the Vietnamese people would continue to achieve greater accomplishments under the leadership of the Party and State.
He also exchanged information about important events ofthe DPRK, including the celebration of the 110th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung on April 15. The Chargé d'affaires also reviewed President Kim Il-Sung's contributions to the Vietnamese people’s struggle for national liberation and unification, which was the foundation for the long-standing friendly relationship between the two Parties and countries.
The diplomat conveyed the wish of Rodong SinmunNewspaper, the voice of the Workers' Party of Korea, to continue building a cooperative relationship with Nhan Dan Newspaper, especially in the regular exchange of information and documents and the organisation ofexhibitions to mark important events of the two countries.
Ri Ho Jun emphasised that the DPRK Embassy in Vietnam wishes to collaborate with Nhan Dan Newspaper to introduce socio-economic achievements in the cause of socialist construction in the DPRK.
Nhan Dan Deputy Editor-in-Chief Dinh Nhu Hoan affirmed the fine relationship between the two Parties and peoples as well as between Nhan Dan and RodongSinmun newspapers, expressing his hope to continue fostering cooperation between the two party newspapers.
Hoan noted that the two newspapers will soon devise acooperation plan for the new situation and shared his belief that, through the DPRK Embassy in Vietnam, the two newspapers will maintain contact and informationexchange to better disseminate information on the relationship between the two Parties and countries.
