For the past 25 years, collaboration in education between Vietnam and Azerbaijan has not been strengthened. To improve the situation and take full advantage of the potential between the two countries, representatives from universities in Azerbaijan came to Vietnam to organize fairs introducing education opportunities in Azerbaijan. The fair opened on January 19thand will last until Jan 22nd.
Collaboration in education between the two countries was most known in the energy and oil-and-gas sectors. However, collaboration has now expanded to other sectors, such as economics, business administration and foreign affairs. Currently 20 Vietnamese students are studying abroad in Azerbaijan. 3 of them are studying at ADA University.
"ADA is an international school. There are many international students studying here, including Vietnamese students. We highly value the performance of Vietnamese students. They are very smart. Therefore, we wish to attract more Vietnamese students to study at our university. This is our main goal for this trip to Vietnam." - Sona Dadashova, Admissions Officer, ADA University.
During the official visit of State President Truong Tan Sang to Azerbaijan last May, leaders of both countries agreed to collaborate in education and promote study exchange programs. Vietnamese universities are proactively working to attract more students from Azerbaijan to Vietnam.
"In the near future, we will expand collaboration with ADA University in Azerbaijan to help students explore opportunities from both countries. We are working on a masters program with ADA." - Dao Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of International Cooperation. Foreign Trade University, Vietnam.
"Our school is interested in collaborating with ADA University. Vietnamese students will benefit from the experience, since Vietnam is integrating deeper into the global economy." - Nguyen Thai Yen Huong, Deputy Head, Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi.
This year, the Azerbaijan Embassy will implement more programs and seminars to promote collaboration in education between the two countries.
