According to The Economist, from 2018 to 2021, Vietnam's proportion of solar power increased from zero to nearly 11%.
Last year, Vietnam became the tenth-largest solar power producer in the world. In addition, a study by the Australian National University showed that, since 2019, Vietnam has quadrupled its wind and solar capacity, thanks to political, market dynamics, and policy reforms, which have made it easier for foreign investors to do business in Vietnam.
