Vietnam allocates low budget on promoting tourism
VTV.vn - Vietnam is one of the countries in the region with the least investment in tourism sector. It's even less than that of Cambodia and Laos.

This information was shared by many experts at the recently held Vietnam Private Sector Forum 2017.

According to reports, Vietnam spends about 2 million US dollars each year in tourism promotion, which is far behind the investment of neighboring countries.

For example, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand spend 69 million, 80 million and 105 million US dollars respectively. According to Tourism Law 2017, the tourism support fund is set to be established at the end of this year, and will be worth at about 20 million US dollars.
