The national flag carrier announced on March 22 that the suspension has been posed to review and clarify the procedures, requirements and regulations related to aircraft insurance and flight operations to Russia.
The airline expressed regret over the force majeure, affirming that it passengers who have bought tickets on the air route will be offered free refunds or may change their flights when the route is resumed.
Vietnam Airlines is currently the only airline operating a regular route to Moscow. It stressed that it is working with relevant agencies in order to resume this route as soon as possible.
