VTV.vn - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh joined 26 foreign ministers in an online conference themed "International cooperation in Covid-19 prevention and control" on Thursday evening.

The conference is a part of the framework of the Alliance for Multilateralism, an unofficial alliance aiming to boost multilateral cooperation in the world. Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh proposed that the central roles of the UN and the WHO be strengthened to ensure support for developing countries. He suggested that countries share information, experience and research achievements, to ensure everyone has access to vaccines and medicine.

The Deputy Prime Minister called for stopping activities that affect disease response efforts, especially power politics and unilateral actions contrary to international law. Countries should build post-COVID-19 development plans which include coordinated policies and measures to stimulate the economy, trade and investment.
