Accordingly, under the Decision No.1972/QD-CTN on the award of the Labor Medal, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam decided to award the Third Class Labor Medal to the Vietnam Heart Foundation of Vietnam Television for the achievements in charity work, social security, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
At the show Ten Years of “Heart for You”, on behalf of the President, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh awarded the Labor Medal, third class to representatives of Viet Heart Foundation of Vietnam Television.
Lai Tu Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam Television, President of the Viet Heart Foundation; Vu Thanh Thuy, Chief editor of VTVNews, Director of VietHeart Foundation and Major General Le Dang Dung, acting President and General Director of Viettel – a companion of the program "Heart for Children" on behalf of the Foundation received the third class Labor Medal of the President.
The Vietnamese Heart Foundation, which was established in 2007, is a non-profit organization on the principle of self-funding and operates to provide material and spiritual support to poor families and individuals, and disadvantaged children; victims of war, natural disasters and diseases. Over the past 11 years, the Fund has carried out many humanitarian programs, such as the heart surgery program for children under 16 years old "Heart for Children", the programs Homeland Sea and Islands and For the Poor.
