VFC films won big at the Kite Award 2020

VTV.vn - Vietnam Television's Television Film Production Center (VFC) has 7 award-winning films in the Drama category, including the Golden Kite Award for Crocodile Profile.

The Kite 2020 awards ceremony was held in Hanoi on the afternoon of December 22, with the participation of leaders from ministries, departments, branches, Film Association, artists and famous and veteran national actors and actresses from Vietnam and abroad. Vietnam Television was honored to win 22 awards, including 1 Golden Kite Award for the film, 4 Silver Kite Awards, 8 Certificates of Merit and Excellent Individual Awards.

Specifically, in the drama category, the film Crocodile Profile was honored with the Golden Kite Award. In addition, the film crew also received the award for Best Screenwriter (writer Ta Hong Minh), Best Director (Meritorious Artist Nguyen Mai Hien) and Best Actor (Manh Truong).

At this year's Kite Awards ceremony, the Television Film Production Center (VFC), Vietnam Television achieved great success. In addition to the Crocodile Profile, VFC also received 3 Silver Kite awards for the films Sunflower Against the Sun, Love and Ambition, Love to the Moon and Back. At the same time, VFC was awarded the Certificate of Merit for the films Neighbor's Daughter, Red Sand and Balanha Inn. These are all films that have made positive social impacts and have been enthusiastically received by the audience over the past year.

Along with that, many people who participated in these projects were also honored such as Luong Thu Trang with the Best Actress award (playing Cao Duong Minh, Sunflower against the Sun); Thanh Son with the Award for Best Supporting Actor (playing Son, Love and Ambition); Tuyet Huong with the award for Best Supporting Actress (playing the role of Du, Red Sand).

In two categories of Scientific Film and Documentary Film, Vietnam Television also won many important awards. In the category of Scientific Film, two works produced by the Department of Science and Technology which are Must Live, Nature and Human, together with the film Arsenic - Invisible Assassin (Center for Documentary and Reportage Production), received the Certificate of Merit of the organizing committee. The Must Live film crew also received an individual award in the Best Photography category.

In the Documentary category, Vietnam Television won a silver award for the film Thank You Vietnam (Cable TV); 2 Certificates of Merit for Mother (Vietnam Television Center in the Central Highlands region) and Honorable Mention (Department of Entertainment Program Production); 1 individual award was given to director Nguyen Hong Viet (Thank you Vietnam, Cable TV).

The Kite Award is an annual award of the Vietnam Film Association to summarize creative activities during the year, honor excellent works, and recognize the contributions and creative efforts of artists. This year, due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the event was held on a smaller scale than in previous years.
