On April 6th, the commander of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) announced that they had issued a violation report against a tractor-trailer on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway in Lam Dong province.
Police conduct administrative checks on drivers who violate traffic safety regulations.
Earlier, during a patrol, the task force stopped and inspected a tractor-trailer with license plate 43H-073.xx while it was traveling on the highway through Lam Dong province.
Upon inspection, authorities determined that the vehicle lacked a vehicle registration certificate; a technical safety and environmental protection inspection certificate; and the required vehicle identification sticker. Furthermore, the vehicle was carrying cargo exceeding the permitted height for trucks (including trailers and semi-trailers).
Police impounded the vehicle for violating traffic safety regulations on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
During the inspection, the driver presented documents under the name NTA (born in 1993). The task force issued an administrative violation report against the driver for the offenses. According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, for these offenses, the driver will be fined 16 million VND and have 8 points deducted from his driver's license. The vehicle will be impounded for 7 days.
Regarding the incident, the vehicle owner was issued a citation by the traffic police for driving in violation of the aforementioned regulations. According to the regulations, the owner will be fined 88 million VND.
The total fine for the vehicle owner and driver is 104 million VND.
