Durian, banana and dragon fruit are the 3 items that contributed to two-thirds of the export turnover of the whole fruit and vegetable industry in recent years.
In February, fruit and vegetable exports reached more than US$320 million, up over 51% over the same period last year.
Overall, in the first two months of the year, the fruit and vegetable industry recorded a trade surplus of nearly 290 million USD, making a significant contribution to the trade surplus value of the entire agricultural sector.
China continued to be Vietnam's largest fruit and vegetable export market in the first two months of this year, accounting for 57% of the total, followed by the US, Japan, and South Korea.
