The programme awarded 155 scholarships, totalling more than 2.4 billion VND and a certificate from the 'Rencontres du Vietnam' Association. Each pupil’s scholarship is 13 million VND (an increase of 1.5 million VND compared to 2021), and student scholarships are 26 million VND (up 5 million VND).
Among pupils and students receiving this year's Vallet scholarships, there are 125 high school students, boarding ethnic minority students and excellent students overcoming difficulties in the Central Highlands, Khanh Hoa, and Ninh Thuan provinces; 30 students from Tay Nguyen University, Nha Trang and Da Lat.
For more than 20 years, the 'Rencontres du Vietnam' Association has awarded scholarships to encourage the young generation to fulfil their passion for science.
Prof. Patrick Aurenche expressed his hope that these scholarships will be a source of motivation to help the students constantly strive, develop and achieve higher accomplishments at international scientific prizes and always shine on the path to future achievements.
This is the 22nd year, the 'Rencontres du Vietnam' Association has awarded Vallet scholarships, mainly sponsored by Professor Odon Vallet, to Vietnamese students, with more than 40,000 scholarships, a total value of more than 350 billion VND.
This scholarship award is part of the plan to award Vallet scholarships in 2022 of the 'Rencontres du Vietnam' Association to 2,100 excellent students in the country, with a total value of more than 36 billion VND.
