US supports Russia's return to G8

Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Trump said it would be appropriate to let Russia join the G8 group / because a lot of discussions require coordination with Russia.

The statement was made by President Donald Trump a few days before he flew to France to attend the G7 Summit this weekend. Russia was excluded from the then-G8 in 2014 due to its annexation of Crimea from Ukraine.
