VTV.vn - The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) chose Vietnam as a venue for sharing experiences in developing fisheries through an ongoing two-week training course in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.

Attracting policy makers and experts from many countries, the course focuses on taking advantage of fisheries in developing countries.

In the last ten years, Vietnam's seafood exploitation and manufacturing sector grew 50%, with last year's total output reaching 3.1 million tonnes.

Vietnam has 500 manufacturing workshops that meet standards for exporting to demanding markets like the US, the EU, and Japan.

After this course, Nha Trang University will share fisheries' experience with other developing countries.
