The play "Quintessence of Tonkin" was inspired by the story of the monk Từ Đạo Hạnh.
During the 55 minute show, audiences have the chance to experience the culture of the Red River Delta, the atmosphere of a Vietnamese village, and old traditions that are no longer practiced.
In the last year, Quintessence of Tonkin played 150 nights to 50,000 audiences and was even recommended by CNN. In August, the performance won the Guinness record for being the biggest water stage performance in Vietnam, and the show with the most farmers as actors in Vietnam.
