This year's conference takes place in the context of the Paris Agreement on climate change officially took effect on Thursday, November 4th, and the conference will focus on implementing the contents of the historic Paris Agreement. COP22 gathered representatives of nearly 200 countries, focuses on discussing the technical issues in order to prepare implementation of the contents of the Paris Agreement; promote global financial flows to cope with climate change; enhance technology transfers and capacity building for developing countries. According to the United Nations 99 countries and the European Union have formally adopted the Agreement.
