UK climate change specialist works with Vietnam

He met with Vietnamese agencies such as the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnamese business community. He put forth initiatives to support Vietnam's role in climate change repsonse within ASEAN, as well as Vietnam's ASEAN Chairmanship in 2020. Vietnam and the UK have had nine joint research projects on environmental and water management such as in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands. The UK government provides three million euros each year for the Newton Fund, which promotes the sharing of knowledge, experience, and facilities to solving socio-economic problems in Vietnam.
