Earlier in a call, the EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier and his UK agreed to resume face-to-face talks.
* Meanwhile, EU officials told envoys that Britain had formally notified the European Union of its intention to withdraw from the bloc’s military missions by the end of this year. Britain is central to European security efforts but EU and British negotiators agreed in March 2018 that Britain could not continue to lead or take part in EU missions when London leaves the EU.
* Irish central bank Governor Gabriel Makhlouf warned that Ireland will be the eurozone's biggest loser from a no-deal Brexit. The new tariffs on goods would hit Ireland's agricultural and food sectors the most.
