The American organisation has committed to supporting Vietnam in the prevention and treatment of disease outbreaks.
As Vietnam has been facing many zoonotic diseases such as avian influenza and rabies, support from the CDC since 2012 has helped Vietnam control their spread.
The CDC will continue to support Vietnam in upgrading infrastructure until 2022. They will also provide microorganisms and transfer advanced technologies used in vaccine production to Vietnam.
