The strongest winds near the centre of the typhoon are at level 13-14 (135-165km per hour) with gusts up to level 17.
Over the next 12 hours, the typhoon is forecast to move west-northwest with a speed of about 20km per hour.
At 4pm on November 14, the typhoon will be about 16.1 degrees north latitude, 110.0 east longitude, about 190 km from Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue to the east and about 300 km from Quang Tri to the east-southeast. The strongest winds near the typhoon’s centre are at level 13 (135-150 km per hour) with gusts up to level 15.
Over the next 12 to 24 hours, the typhoon is predicted to move west-northwest at a speed of 20km per hour and will gradually weaken.
The typhoon is expected to make landfall between Ha Tinh and Quang Nam province in the next 24-48 hours and weaken into a tropical depression. It is projected to continue to move inland and then turn into a low pressure area in Central Laos.
From this morning to noon on November 14, winds are forecast to gradually increase to level 6-7 and then rise to level 8-9 on the mainland from south of Nghe An to Quang Ngai with strong winds up to level 10 and gusts up to level 12 in coastal areas.
Areas from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai will suffer heavy rains until November 16.
