Two patients with congenital hearing loss successfully treated

Doctors at Hanoi Medical University Hospital successfully operated on 2 patients with congenital hearing loss, Do Viet Xuan Truong, an 18 month old from Thanh Hoa province, and Nguyen Sinh Phuc from Lao Cai province. Due to the complicated situation of Do Viet Xuan Truong's disease, the doctors had to work long hours to successfully find a way into his cochlea and place an electrode there.

The 2 patients are now recovering. Their hearing will continue to recover from 6 months to 5 years after the surgery.
