Produced by the Specialized Education Department of VTV with the support of TH Group, the first season of “Little Flowers - Tween Garden” is no longer limited to its daily 6:50 PM broadcast on VTV3. Through a meaningful nationwide “School Tour,” it has brought lessons on physical development, life skills, and nutrition into real life through a meaningful nationwide ‘School Tour’, delivering interactive experiences to students throughout the country.
The show covers topics ranging from nutrition to physical development, creating a multifaceted learning and experience hub for the younger generation
In an era of rapid smart device proliferation, encouraging children to step away from screens and engage in physical activities and real-world experiences has become a significant challenge. Despite being a traditional television program, Tween Garden has demonstrated remarkable influence across digital platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and VTVgo, attracting hundreds of millions of views.
The program’s diverse content categories, including Tween Sports, Tween Life Skills, Tween STEM, and Tween Music, help children develop in a well-rounded manner. In Tween Sports, children participate in creative physical activities with professional athletes. The program reimagines traditional sports using familiar Vietnamese items such as bamboo trays, baskets, and hand fans. National athletes and coaches, including Bui Tien Dung, Pham Tuan Hai, Nguyen Thi Oanh, Hoang Xuan Vinh, Chau Tuyet Van, Pham Van Mach, and Nguyen Huy Hoang, inspired children by making sports more approachable and enjoyable.
Another important educational pillar of the program focuses on school nutrition, teaching children about balanced diets and healthy eating habits, and explaining the role of proper nutrition in growth and development. Students also visit TH School and TH dairy farms to learn about nutrition science and learn how fresh milk is produced firsthand.
“Tween Garden School Tour”: A nationwide journey inspiring young minds
To extend these lessons beyond television, the program launched the Tween Garden School Tour, an educational and entertainment initiative designed to promote comprehensive development, cultural connection, and physical well-being of children. The tour has reached 6 schools across Vietnam and more than 10,000 students across Northern, Central, and Southern Vietnam.
Rather than focusing solely on major cities, the tour traveled to remote, culturally significant areas such as Ta Xua (Son La), Phu Tho, Hue, and Phu Quoc. This allowed children with limited access to such opportunities to have valuable educational experiences .
The School Tour successfully combines entertainment and popular youth culture, physical exercise and teamwork, and appreciation of local cultural heritage. Through games, performances, and interactive activities, students develop confidence, collaboration skills and forge a stronger connection to their cultural roots.
The success of the Tween Garden School Tour reflects the strategic partnership between VTV and TH Group. By combining VTV’s educational mission with TH Group’s commitment to social responsibility, the project aims to promote the physical and intellectual growth of Vietnamese children and contribute to a healthier, stronger future generation.
