The event was jointly held by the Trade Promotion Agency, the Asia-Africa Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey.
The webinar is part of the National trade promotion programme aiming to introduce the production and export capacity of Vietnamese electronic and mechanical enterprises to major Turkish traders.
Addressing the event, Deputy Director of the Export Support Centre under the Trade Promotion Agency Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy said Vietnam has the advantage of skilled workers, reasonable prices and modern technology regarding supporting industrial products, which can meet the strict requirements of product quality, accuracy and delivery schedule, even on large orders.
Vietnam has gradually produced export products with a high-added value such as precision mechanical products and electronic products and components, Thuy added.
She expressed her belief that with their experience in cooperation with many of the world’s large corporations, Vietnamese enterprises have the capability and potential to participate in the supply chains of Turkish enterprises, particularly Arcelik company under Koc Holding.
Purchasing Director at Arcelik, Hakan Kozan, said Vietnamese enterprises are capable of producing high-tech products for export and they can cooperate with Arcelik to produce products with a high added value content.
He hopes Vietnamese enterprises can seize this opportunity to become business partners not only of Arcelick but of the Koc Holding Group.
After the webinar, Vietnamese enterprises carried out online transactions and exchanged details about theirsupply capacity and cooperation needs with major Turkish traders.
