Tulip flowers in Vietnam are mainly grown in Đà Lạt City and Hanoi, where the weather is cool and moist. However, residents in Phú Yên Province have had the chance to enjoy the beauty of Tulips during this Lunar New Year. Over 1000 tulip roots provided by the Fruit and Vegetables Research Institute have been successfully planted in Phú Yên, with a survival rate of 100%.
According to a local research facility, red and yellow tulips grow well in Phú Yên, and blossom earlier than expected.
The facility will continue to improve its tulip growing technique to control blossoming. In order to grow tulips in large scale, residents must ensure the temperature is below 20 degrees Celsius with the use of a cold storage.
