Tropical low pressure causes bad weather

VTV.vn - On Monday, the low pressure area in the Gulf of Tonkin has strengthened to become tropical low pressure.

Thus, weather in the mainland and at sea will remain adverse. It is forecasted that the tropical low pressure area will move slowly west-southwest in the next 24 hours and its core will reach the coast from Thanh Hóa to Hà Tĩnh Provinces at 7 am Tuesday.

In addition, another tropical low pressure area has also appeared northeast of the Philippines' Luzon Island. It is forecast to enter the East Sea on Monday night and become a storm.

The Gulf of Tonkin will witness rough seas, strong winds, and heavy rains while the northern and north central regions will also be affected by heavy rain and floods. Landslides and flashfloods will be become more likely in mountainous areas.
