Tourism sees positive growth in first half of 2017
VTV.vn - In the first half of this year, Vietnam's tourism industry saw positive growth. The country welcomed about 47 million visitors with total revenue of over 11.18 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of over 27%.

The number of international tourists during this period rose by more than 30% compared to the same period last year. Nearly 60% of tourists came from Northeast Asian countries such as South Korea, Japan and Taiwan (China). Meanwhile, Vietnam also welcomed more visitors from Western Europe thanks to the visa-free policy. Several provinces such as Da Nang, Quảng Nam, Quảng Ninh, Khánh Hòa, Phú Yên, and Bình Định were among the most popular destinations.
