At the event, representatives of the ASEAN Tourism Association suggested boosting heritage and conference tourism, connecting destinations within ASEAN, as well as issuing occupational and destination standards towards sustainable development of the sector.
In addition, multi-lateral co-operation within ASEAN is expected to help expand the market and improve the position of Vietnam as well as the region in the world tourism map.
Vietnam announced that the country was preparing for the forum next year in Ha Long Bay.
