The program is held every Monday and Friday at 10.30am and lasts 90 minutes. Each tour serves a maximum of 250 visitors for a cost of 17.6 USD each. During the tour, visitors will learn about the history of the building which is more than a century old and is one of Hanoi's architectural landmarks. They also get to enjoy a 30-minute performance of Vietnamese traditional art.
The program is part of a scheme initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism to turn the Opera House into a central destination, linking August Revolution Square, Co Tan Park and the Museum of National History, as well as other historical buildings along with the green space around Hoan Kiem Lake.
