These stations will be located in Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên Huế. The facilities are assigned with the task of monitoring weather and environmental conditions. Using the collected data, the stations' staffs are to provide timely warnings of natural disasters and environmental pollution. These operations will be under the management of the ministry and people's committees of the 4 provinces. The project's cost is estimated to be around 14 million USD.
