The February 2024 competition of Road to Olympia Mount's Quarter 4 featured four contestants: Nguyen Nguyen Phu (Specialized High School, Hanoi National University of Education), Do Thi Quynh Huong (Da Phuc High School, Hanoi), Tran Ngoc Nhat Minh (Hanoi-Amsterdam Specialized High School), and Nguyen Tat Thanh (Vinh Linh High School, Quang Tri). The production team recently revealed behind-the-scenes stories of this intense competition.
In the Warm-Up round, none of the contestants were delighted with their performance. While Tat Thanh admitted that he was slower than his opponents, Nguyen Phu regretted that he answereda question he was very familiar with incorrectly. In the Obstacle round, Nguyen Phu maintained his lead. He quickly solved the obstacle, but again shared a slight sense of regret during this round, surprising the other contestants.
In the Speed-up round, the contestants expected Nhat Minh to give the most correct answers. Indeed, Nhat Minh was the most impressive, getting two correct answers in the shortest time. However, by the end of the round, he didn’t score many points, allowing Nguyen Phu to remain in the lead.
In the Finish round, Nguyen Phu said he was cautious and prepared a solid strategy. His calculations proved to be correct, as Quynh Huong made a surprising breakthrough in the critical round. Both Nguyen Phu and Quynh Huong ended with the same score and had to go to a tie-breaker to determine the winner. In the end, Nguyen Phu claimed the laurel wreath of Road to Olympia Mount. After the competition, he expressed great pride in his victory, donning the flag of Hanoi National University of Education.
Meanwhile, Quynh Huong shared that she was still very happy to have surpassed the second-highest score at this time. The petite girl smiled brightly even though her opponent rang the bell faster and took the top prize.
