Thang Long Imperial Citadel preserved through archaeology
VTV.vn - Thang Long Imperial Citadel was recognised as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 2010. Since then, scientists have been working hard to unearth its underground structure in order to fulfill Vietnam’s commitment in heritage preservation.

The Thang Long Imperial Citadel traces the history of 13 centuries. These dragon stone steps are part of Kinh Thien Palace, the most important political structure of the Thang Long Citadel. Archaeologists are doing research to restore the palace. In the future, it is expected that the whole citadel will be uncovered.
