Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh said that the province always pays attention to education and training activities for Lao students, many of whom, after being graduated, have returned home and made great contributions to development of Laos as well as that of the two countries.
At the get-together, many meaningful activities during the New Year festival were held such as praying for good luck, tying a thread on the wrist, and splashing water, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere for participating students.
This is a practical activity to strengthen and affirm the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two nations’ people.
At present, there are nearly 1,400 Lao students studying in 11 educational institutions in Thai Nguyen.
