The event took guests on a journey where the old Tet came to life with a typical view of rural area featuring bamboo poles, thatched cottages, sedge mats, copper trays and lanterns.
Guests were also treated to traditional Tet dishes prepared by Furama’s chefs, including banh chung, banh tet (square and cylindrical sticky rice cakes stuffed with pork and mung beans), jams and tea, as well as a variety of specialties from across the country such as Hanoi’s bun thang, Hue beef noodle, Quang noodle and HCMC’s spring rolls.
There were many other fun activities like magic performances, calligraphy, lion dance, folk games and music performances. Guests also had a chance to learn how to make banh chung and banh tet, and buy to he (toy figurine), silk lanterns, bamboo flutes and Hoi An souvenirs.
